Hi everyone,

I need some expert help to troubleshoot several issues on my Mercedes B-Class (W245) 2007 Diesel (OM640 engine, manual transmission).

Here are the symptoms I am currently experiencing:

  1. Cold Start Idle Issue: When I start the car cold, the engine RPM automatically revs up on its own by about 100 to 200 RPM above normal idle.

  2. High Fuel Consumption: The car is consuming an abnormal amount of fuel. This happens even though all filters (air, fuel) are brand new and the oil change/maintenance has just been done.

  3. Power Loss & ESP Light (Limp Mode): The car struggles and hits a hard wall/limp mode at 120 km/h (sometimes locking at 2200 RPM). When this loss of power happens, the ESP warning light pops up on the dashboard.

  4. Intermittent Steering Pull: Occasionally (not all the time), the steering wheel suddenly jerks or pulls sharply to the right by itself.

I suspect a major sensor failure (like a MAP/Boost sensor, MAF, or steering angle sensor causing the ESP fault) or an air leak in the turbo system.

Since I am trying to get a stable diagnostic software running, could anyone point out what physical parts I should check first based on these symptoms?

Thanks in advance for your insights!

I think there is no reason to try out looking for help , especially in english.
